Gia Cefaratti began her career in the medical field as a medical assistant in a physician’s office. She then moved to private care giving for a small number of clients. In 2012, Gia decided to expand care giving reach by opening a home healthcare company, Hummingbird Home Care. As an owner & director, Gia has continued to care for clients on a regular basis as well as organize HHC's caregivers and schedules with the help of the office staff.
Gia has a passion for what she does and is enthusiastic to share her skills with others. She loves working with clients daily as well as working with her caregivers to increase their skill.

Carmen Cefaratti currently holds the title of Chief Operating Officer for Hummingbird Home Care, LLC. As President of The Cefaratti Group, Inc., a litigation support company, Carmen has been a business owner for more than 20 years. In 2012, he brought his business acumen to the field of home care field and helped his wife, Gia, facilitate the inception of Hummingbird Home Care, LLC. He currently oversees the day-to-day internal operations of Hummingbird while continuing to supervise The Cefaratti Group, Inc.

Karen Laurienzo is the Scheduling & Care Coordinator at Hummingbird Home Care, LLC. Prior to taking on those roles, Karen worked as a Caregiver herself for 15 years. Karen's many years of experience in Caregiving give her a unique understanding of the role of a Scheduler, and she continues to utilize that experience while assisting with the coordination of care for our clients.

Samantha holds the position of Human Resources & Scheduling Coordinator. She graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University in 2017 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She worked for Hummingbird as a caregiver while furthering her education at Bryant & Stratton College and earning an additional degree in Applied Sciences, along with becoming a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Her education and experience in working in both home care and health care facilities gives her a unique perspective not only as to the many dimensions and rewards of working in home care, but in senior care in general.
